JOÃO LOURENÇO (JL) says in private that the political contestation he considers himself the object of from internal circles - in society, from the opposition, but also from sectors of the regime itself - is the result of a “campaign” organized and promoted by IS. He associates political and economic purposes with it and specifies that in its development it has “support and complicity” in the country itself.

The greater scope of the actions brought by bodies of the Angolan judicial system against IS, including a request by the PGR to Interpol with a view to issuing an international arrest warrant, is in turn considered by JL as “only a reflection” of the singular magnitude of the accusations of corruption on which these actions are based.
