(20/89, 02.NOV - Maputo, Lisbon) Islamic-inspired armed cells active in the province of Cabo Delgado carried out in recent weeks c. 6 attacks on targets in Tanzanian territory, 4 of which in the last week of OCT. The most serious, 19.OCT, targeted the Mtwara region in southern Tanzania, c. 60 kms north of the village of Palma (AM 1271).
