The main reason for the slowdown concerns the effects of Cyclones Idai and Kenneth on economic activity, especially in the most affected regions (Manica, Sofala, Tete and Zambézia). On the ground, there are still significant delays in relocating the displaced population, in parcels defined by the State. Food aid is regularized with the presence of 21 NGOs in the area, and can be extended until the end of May, when a donor conference is scheduled in Beira, which is decisive for the process of rebuilding houses and infrastructure.
