The governments of São Tomé and Príncipe and Equatorial Guinea maintain the goal of starting, in late 2021, offshore oil production in the Special Joint Exploration Zone (ZEEC), located in the maritime border area between the 2 countries, under an agreement signed in OCT.2019.
