Movements of Islamic-inspired armed cells active in the border region with Tanzania (Rovuma River) indicate their spread between the interior and the northern coast of Cabo Delgado and a critical approach to the region of Palma, where the construction works of the LNG site are ongoing. Information obtained by the FADM from captured guerrillas, indicate the goal is to control the Palma-Nangade-Mueda axis, including the villages themselves, to finally proceed to Pemba, the provincial capital.
