The process of creating the Special Economic Zone Authority (AZEE) of São Vicente, dedicated to the Maritime Economy, should be completed by the beginning of NOV., with the appointment of its administration by the Government. The diploma that created AZEE was approved by the PR on 17 September. For the beginning of 2021, contacts and institutional presentations (“road shows”) to international investors are expected. The project experienced a new impetus since the naming in JAN. of PAULO VEIGA (PV) as Minister of Maritime Economy, who replaced JOSÉ GONÇALVES (JG), pointed in Government circles as lacking in decision-making capacity.
