Guinea-Bissau: PRS leadership Disputed

The loss of political relevance of the PRS, among the main political forces and within the current coalition in support of PR UMARU SISSOCO EMBALÓ (USE), is attributed internally to the leadership of ALBERTO NAMBEIA (AN), at the head of the party since 2012. The recovery of the party's status as a direct opponent of the PAIGC and an alternative to the Government, in the current legislatures, and the opportunity for reinforcement provided by the creation of municipalities are pointed out in party circles as the engine of ongoing lobbying actions to anticipate the Congress to elect a new leader, before the end of the current leadership's term, in SEP.2021.
