Initially scheduled for 2019, the project for the Temane Thermal Power Plant formally started on 03.SEP, and the creation for the purpose of a Public Limited Company, based in Maputo, has been completed. The project will be developed by Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM), the South African petrochemical company Sasol, which already exploits natural gas in Temane and Pande, and Globeleq, a company created in 2002, headquartered in London, with several investments in the energy sector in Africa (Tanzania, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Kenya) and now in Mozambique.
