Mozambique: South African Paramount with Major Allies in Armored Vehicles Sale

The South African Government has approved the sale of South African armored vehicles for use in the Cabo Delgado theater of operations, where fighting against Islamic-inspired armed groups remains outside the control of the Defense and Security Forces and while high level SADC contacts proceed regarding an intervention force (AM 1176).
At least 5 Marauder vehicles will have been acquired by Maputo from South African Paramount Group, whose financial situation is reported as of "pre-bankruptcy". The Marauders were launched for the first time in 2008 and are not suitable for the terrain in Cabo Delgado.
Paramount has been trying to compensate for the crisis in the sector, especially on land vehicles, with a focus on aerial means, namely in the development of UAV/ Drones. READ MORE
