Despite the reduced negotiating margin with multinationals responsible for LNG projects, due to the losses caused to them with the Government's inability to create security conditions for the development of the project, the prospects of a sharp drop in tax revenues should motivate an intervention by the executive of FILIPE NYUSI. The Government was surprised by the use of Dubai to reduce the tax bill, but it is expected, in particular, that it will demand compliance by multinationals with their tax obligations in Mozambique.
