Mozambique: LAM Sale Promoted by Magala and South Africans

Fly Modern Ark (FMA), South African consultant hired in APR. to “rescue” the flag carrier Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM), aims to financially balance and partially sell the company within a probable period of 12-18 months. With less than a month in office, FMA has been strongly supported by the Minister of Transport and Communications, MATEUS MAGALA (MM).

The entry of an external majority shareholder is a scenario considered to be probable and the choice of partner may be up to FMA. Sector sources consider that, in this case, the FMA's current mission will be nothing more than an “audit” with the purpose of transferring part of the capital. READ MORE
