Mozambique: Government's Focuses on "Strategic" Minerals
In the so-called local content, the government wants to impose a percentage of no less than 20% of ore produced in the national territory dedicated to the domestic market, to be regulated according to the type of mineral. Mining operators will also be required to give preference to local products and services, even if the price, including taxes, is higher compared to imported goods and services.
