Mozambique: Galp Capital Gains Tax Dispute in Court Before Arbitration
After the Mozal case, which is still ongoing (AM Flash 26-13), and the threat from Kenmare Resources to proceed with litigation (AM Flash 26-11) if the government imposes conditions not foreseen in the new Implementation Agreement for the extractive project in Moma (Nampula), there is a high probability of a new legal dispute with a multinational company present in the country, exacerbating tensions motivated by the State's urgency to seek more tax revenue without considering the expectations of investors.
